Tasting Notes
Faint honey yellow in color. The nose is rich and layered, starting with burst of lemon curd, honey, and beeswax. There are secondary notes of nutmeg and cream that make the nose complex and compelling. The palate is smooth, whilst being mouthfilling and textured. The finish is snappy and taut, a testament to the natural acidity that will carry this wine through aging.
Vintage Notes
The 2016 vintage started quickly, with the earliest spring on record! However, the rest of the season proved to be moderate and well-paced. We experienced a long growing season, which allowed ample time for flavor development. It was still an early harvest by Oregon standards, but the wines are showing the concentration and finesse of a cooler and later ripening vintage.
