2018 Bryn Mawr Vineyards Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay

By Winerabble September 2022

"I was first struck by the abundant minerality and acidity in this Chardonnay. Mouth puckering tartness washed over my tongue– citrus flavors of lemons, lime, and lemon zest, along with wet stone. When I was a kid, I used to suck on lemons and this wine reminded me of the delight I used to get doing so! This Chardonnay had a clean, lemon-flavored ice milk finish that left me thirsty for my next sip."

Riesling Rises Again...And Again, And Again, And Again

By PaulG On Wine July 2022

"Bryn Mawr Vineyards 2021 Estate Riesling - I wish more wineries would print the dryness scale on the back label, as done here. It's not infallible, but gives consumers a good idea of the basic style of the wine. This is dry, a tick or two below medium dry on the scale. Just enough residual sugar to smooth over the penetrating acidity and add a hint of spun sugar. Big fruit is the focus, a lush mid-palate loaded with blood orange, gooseberry, apple and white peach. It's a juicy, refreshing wine that nails all the flavor points for a dry Oregon Riesling."

How to Find the Very Best of Oregon's Rosé Wines

By Forbes April 2022

"Bryn Mawr Rosé of Pinot Noir -  It uses the Dijon 777 clone exclusively for its rosé. The 777 has small berries, which gives a low ratio of juice to skins. The musts also receive extended skin contact and are barrel fermented. The result is a hefty rosé with pronounced red berry and tropical fruit notes, an obvious, but well-integrated, tannic backbone and a noticeable minerality."

The Top 10 Wines for Summer 2022

By Drinkhacker March 2022

"2019 Bryn Mawr Riesling Estate Eola-Amity Hills – Here’s a fun riesling from Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills region, brighter and fruitier than the typical, floral-heavy wines made from the grape. Low in alcohol but big in character, it’s an iconic summer sipper well worth seeking out, particularly at this price."

Curious About Pacific Northwest Wines? Set Your Sights on These Five

By Justluxe February 2022

"Bryn Mawr Vineyards: 2017 Tempranillo - Family-owned Bryn Mawr Vineyards honors the wines that make the Willamette Valley world renowned, while slightly pushing the envelope to explore future possibilities. This luscious and delicate wine is medium garnet red with a slight brick red hue on the rim. It features notes of warm baking spice, cocoa, and cinnamon that intermingle with faint raspberry and fig notes to make a lovely spiced bouquet. Try this one with hearty pasta dishes, like a thickly layered lasagne."

Winter Wines from Oregon to Warm Your Soul

By Great Northwest Wines February 2022

"Bryn Mawr Vineyards 2016 Tempranillo, Eola-Amity Hills - Perched on the upper crest of the acclaimed Eola-Amity Hills, Bryn Mawr’s 40-acre LIVE-certified estate is battered by powerful winds sweeping through the Van Duzer Corridor from the Pacific Coast. Their vines are anchored into rocky volcanic soils on the steep vineyard and produce powerful characteristics across their entire portfolio. The whites and pinks are nervy, acid-driven and refreshingly crisp. The reds are bold and edgy, as is their Tempranillo. Dark violet in color, they sport a nose that is rich and lifted with sweet vanilla bean and cocoa butter st the outset. After a twirl, the dried cherry, sweet fig and pepper notes come jumping out to greet you. The palate is smooth and complete. Concentrated fruit and earthy cocoa nibs emerge on the midpalate, while the tannins are perfectly balanced and satisfying all the way to the end. Rachel Rose is both the winemaker and vineyard director for Bryn Mawr, giving her complete control from grape to glass. Under her leadership, they’re crafting wines of great complexity and tension and have continually elevated their production and quality recently. A common adage among the team is “high hill, high risk, high reward,” and that tenacious spirit is reflected in all that they do."
